The contract comprises of work on 2 sites on either side of the City of Coventry. The existing sites of Jack Ball and George Rowley Houses comprise of almost identical layouts, consisting of a 30 bedroom 2 storey block, single storey link and single storey dementia care wing.
It is anticipated as part of our proposals that the dementia care wing and part of the single storey link, will be demolished and replaced with 8 or 9 new build bungalows, dependant on the site in question, together with the remodelling of the 30 remaining units to form 20 larger remodelled flats.
In addition there will be a newly developed entrance area, comprising of large lobby / foyet, ‘mobility scooter’ store, w/c facilities and at first floor level a large communal area with kitchen facilities.
Enhanced car parking, access and egress, together with aspirational landscaping designs, incorporating defencible space, complete the proposed workings on both sites.
