Suffolk County Council is preparing to procure a Support Service to deliver comprehensive, accessible and needs led community support for all People living with or affected by HIV (PLWH) and those who support and care for them.
The Service will support PLWH to maximise their health, well-being, quality of life and promote social inclusion. The Service will re-enforce health promotion activities aimed at preventing onward transmission and acquisition of HIV.
The whole service specification will need to be delivered as part of an HIV delivery network. The provider must become part of the established clinical network for HIV services and must agree and establish robust governance arrangements with the lead provider and these network arrangements must be clearly documented.
We are seeking a service which meets the needs of local people and offers a consistently high standard of care and value for money. Different levels of service will be provided in the community settings with prevention as a key priority. The service will be expected to work within the local area and work with all other relevant clinical and non- clinical health care providers to support seamless service provision and health promotion.
We would like to share with you our vision for the future of long term care for clients diagnosed with HIV and receive your views and comments on the market's capacity and different approaches to delivering this model and exploring the impact on patient pathways.
We therefore invite all interested parties to a Market Engagement Stakeholder Event to be held on.
