Business continuity provision for ICT facilities is essential due to the high level of importance and dependency on ICT systems availability.
With the growing numbers of viruses, security breaches, software issues, hardware failures and data corruption, and in some cases, more catastrophic events such as weather-related causes, fires, power interruptions and sabotage, the Catapult Centres are committed to having business continuity plans in place for ICT and must be able to provide essential ICT services almost immediately should an unplanned major interruption occur.

1)Short description
ORE Catapult is looking to appoint a single supplier to deliver both system support and additional handset provision, as and when required, at their sites in Blyth and Glasgow.
ORE Catapult has invested heavily in the ShoreTel solution to deliver its VoIP telephony requirements and it is anticipated that, as a minimum, the current solution will last for the duration of this Framework.
Although the existing system is a ShoreTel Solution, submissions will be accepted for fully compatible alternatives to these items which will provide, at least, equivalent levels of features, functionality and specification.
It would be beneficial for the Contractor to hold ShoreTel accreditation to a minimum of Silver Partner status, and be capable of procuring additional user licences direct with ShoreTel on behalf of ORE Catapult as and when the need arises.
The Contractor may also be involved in ad-hoc projects as they arise which fit in with the technology roadmap of ORE Catapult, e.g. deployment of Microsoft Lync for Business and its integration with the telephony system.
