Alliance Homes will engage with a single merchant for the provision of a range of materials through a dedicated store managed by the successful supplier. The store will support the materials requirements for the building maintenance, electrical and gas services and planned/cyclical works undertaken by Alliance Homes. Support for outlying Alliance Homes housing stock, or for remotely based operatives will be provided from the successful supplier's wider branch network. Purchases are to be from a core range of products covering a wide variety of plumbing, heating, gas, electrical, lightside, and heavyside materials as well as ancillary services such as plant hire. The service required a supplier with proven capability and experience in providing dedicated stores facilities supplying a comprehensive range of materials. The dedicated store is required to be operational from 1.8.2015.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: This tender process incorporated a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract was communicated to tenderers. This period allowed the successful tenderer to seek further debriefing from Alliance Homes before the contract was entered into. Tenderers could have raised appeals directly with Alliance Homes via the contact points detailed in section I.1 of the contract notice.
If an appeal regarding the award of the contract had not successfully been resolved between the tenderer and Alliance Homes, then the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No 5) provided for aggrieved parties who had been harmed or were at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
