Places for People is seeking expressions of interest from suitably resourced and experienced suppliers of residential furniture for the supply, delivery, assembly and disposal of furniture across the UK on behalf of itself, its present and future subsidiaries.
There will be two Lots. Lot 1 is for the supply of furniture to sheltered accommodation and older person schemes and Lot 2 is for the supply of furniture to supported accommodation and affordable housing.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
Places for People is seeking to establish a framework of residential furniture suppliers. Places for People estimate approximately 3 500 items of furniture and furnishings are to be purchased through the framework each year. Places for People make no representation and warranty as to the number of future orders.
The Contracting Authority requires suppliers to have the capacity to deliver on a national basis, unpack and assemble and dispose of old furniture as necessary.
Items of furniture required are bedroom furniture and communal living room furniture, household items and associated items.
There will be two Lots. Lot 1 is for the Supply of Furniture for Sheltered Accommodation and Older Person Schemes. Lot 2 is for Supported Accommodation and Affordable Housing.
Under the framework the suppliers and its supply chain will be required to actively participate in the achievement of and/or environmental policy objectives for example, relating to recruitment and training and supply chain initiatives. Accordingly, the contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations to be detailed in the contract documents.
The length of the agreement will be 4 years. Spend has been given a range of 275 000-375 000 GBP per annum and calculated over the 4 year framework to be between 1.1 m GBP and 1.4 m GBP.
