Further to the recent Public Health provider events, Herefordshire Council are taking the opportunity to conduct some further soft market testing for the Sexual Health Service.
Information provided will assist the Council in finalising the shape of the service model and approach to the market.

Service Direction:
To develop an effective sexual health integrative system cross Herefordshire which will reduce numbers of sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies.
The Strategic Aims are:
- To prevent the transmission of STI's;
- To identify at the earliest stage sexual ill health and prevent further harm;
- To ensure easy access to initial risk assessment, brief intervention and referral on to appropriate health support;
- To provide easy access to specialist support and treatment (including pharmacotherapy).
The lead should, ideally, be able to engage and partner with the local / voluntary sector.
The annual budget available is likely to be in the region of 1 389 000 GBP.
Please note - The Scheduled Start date is indicative only. The Council will use the results from the soft market testing to refine its approach.
