Herefordshire council are currently developing service specifications for a Domestic Violence and Abuse Support service contract. It is envisaged that this will include accommodation based provision and support and support to victims of domestic violence and abuse to enable them to live safe, healthy and independent lives.
Potential providers will need to look at how they will deliver a quality cost effective service which seeks to target support and reduce demand by working with service users and in partnership to not only support service users but also look at how in partnership domestic violence and abuse is prevented in the first instance.

The current contract will come to an end on the 31.3.2015 therefore providers will be invited to tender on the 26.9.2014 and awarded the contract early in January 2015 for implementation by 1.4.2015.
The purpose of this soft marketing testing exercise is to establish the potential interest of providers in delivering this service in Herefordshire and to inform the shaping of the future commissioning exercise and service delivery model in Herefordshire. Responses will be treated as confidential and will not be taken into consideration during the tendering process for these services.
This exercise will also test what appetite and innovation exists in the market currently that would align with the future direction of this service area.
