The purpose of this PIN is to investigate the market to assess the level of interest in providing the NHS Health Check Programme on behalf of Leicestershire County Council and Rutland County Council. The information received from interested parties will be used to inform future procurement processes for this service. The Councils are assessing the possibility of employing an organisation or organisations that will bring flexibility, innovation and creativity to the NHS Health Check programme across the two Counties in order to increase the proportion of patients checked for their ten year cardiovascular risk.

Through issuing this PIN, Leicestershire County Council is seeking feedback from the market on the possibility of tendering its NHS Health Check Programme in Leicestershire and Rutland. Any organisation interested in participating in this exercise
should request a questionnaire from the named contract and return their responses by 26.2.2014. Interested parties should note that the County Council may seek further clarification and/or hold discussions with organisations who respond via the questionnaire. Please note, the County Council intend to use the information gathered to inform the options appraisal with regard to future tendering of the service. Participating in this exercise will not affect any party positively or negatively during any eventual procurement process and the County Council reserves the right not to proceed with any procurement process. Interested parties are further advised that any information submitted during the market sounding exercise will not form part of any eventual procurement process and that a failure to respond to this notice will not preclude them from responding to any future contract notice. The County Council will not meet any costs incurred by any party in responding to this notice. All responses will be treated as confidential.
