The scope of the contract is to provide an assertive Rough Sleeper Outreach Service and Emergency Accommodation Provision to support rough sleepers across both Bournemouth and Poole to return into accommodation. This service includes the provision of emergency accommodation and a severe weather emergency provision along with the provision of a drop in / day centre.
The aim of the Rough Sleeper Outreach Service is to reduce rough sleeping as close to zero as possible within both the Bournemouth Borough Council and Borough of Poole Local Authority areas. To provide a responsive service that seeks to quickly help rough sleepers back into accommodation with the appropriate support services they need in order to avoid repeat homelessness.
The length of the contract is for three years with the option to extend for a further two years beyond the initial term. Bournemouth Borough Council has created this contract in partnership with the Borough of Poole (The Town and County of the Borough of Poole). Both Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole will be accessing the contract.
