Building construction work. Construction work for military buildings and installations. Construction work for military buildings and installations. Contract for design and construction to redevelop the military estate at Lyneham.
The contract will cover:
The detailed design and construction including: Demolition; Construction of new buildings; Refurbishment of existing buildings; Infrastructure works (inc utilities, drainage, roads, car parks, mechanical & electrical, security); external/internal training areas and landscaping. The contract will state a 12 month defect liability period for all works related to the project.
As the Contractor, the successful Tenderer will have sole responsibility for delivery of the contract and is required to manage and co-ordinate an integrated supply chain (including consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers) to perform all tasks necessary to achieve the requirements of the contract.
In performance of the contract, the Contractor will be required to interface with the Ministry of Defence specialist advisers on issues such as building control, security, health and safety, fire safety, environment/sustainability and Counter Terrorist Measures (CTM), existing MOD contractors and service providers; Local Planning Authority (including Highways); and occupants of the site.
