The Authority would like to offer prospective Tenderers advance notice of its intention to launch a tender, in early February, for the provision of the United Kingdom Fishing Authorities Vessel Monitoring System Communications Hub. This tender is scheduled for launch shortly and will be linked to this PIN and project. The current VMS Communications Hub has been in place since 2004. It provides the UK Fishing Authorities with all the services they require to comply with EU regulatory requirements of Member States to monitor fishing vessel positions. The procurement will be carried out through February 2014 in accordance with the open procedure as set out in the Regulations.
