Sunderland City Council are inviting tenders from suitably qualified Conservation Accredited Architects to lead on the design elements of the Hylton Castle Redevelopment Project and deliver a high quality end development. It is a requirement that the Architectural team appoints a CDM Co-ordinator to provide support on the project from inception through to handover of the Health and Safety File.
The overall aim of the Hylton Castle Redevelopment Project is to repair, redevelop and rejuvenate the Castle through interpretation, events and activities, reconnecting it to its history and the lost elements of the castle complex and its former gardens. The protection, conservation and long-term creative use of the building will deliver a sustainable future for the asset which is a vital and necessary part of the project.
The Contract will commence on 17 February 2014 for a period of up to 3
Years and will consist of 2 Rounds:
Round 1 Contract will commence on 17 February 2014 and is estimated to be completed within 9 months
Round 2 It is estimated that Round 2 Capital works will take approximately 18 months.
