II.4)Short description of nature and quantity or value of supplies or services:
The purpose of this PIN is to outline the Isle of Wight Council's intention to tender the procurement of a Parking Management System. This will be a back office system used for processing and enforcing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) as well as online/virtual permits and online PCN management. We may also include for the provision of associated handheld units for use by Civil Enforcement Officers, and for the provision of telephone parking payment systems. It will be a requirement that the parking management system will be fully integrated with existing Council systems. The Council is expecting to commence the tendering process in August 2014 ready for a new system to be in situ by 31.3.2015. It is anticipated that the contract will be in the region of GBP 200,000 for a period of up to five years (three years plus an option to extend for up to a further two years).
