The Defence Informations Services Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence intends to place a two year contract with Risk Decisions Ltd for software licenses for the Predict system as well as associated support, maintenance, on-site support and training and on-site desk coaching.It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Article 31(1)(b) of Directive 2004.18/EC (Regulation 14(1)(a)(iii) of theUK Public Contracts Regulations 2006). This is for reasons connected with the use of exclusive copyright, patent and design rights in respect of the software belonging to Risk Decisions Ltd and because the support services cannot be provided without access to those rights.
