II.1.4)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)The Isle of Wight Council invited Tenders from suitably qualified providers for the provision of Independent Mental Capacity Advocates (IMCA), advocates for individuals who lack capacity, Independent Mental Health Advocates (IMHA), advocates for those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, and a general advocacy service for vulnerable adults on the Isle of Wight.
The contract is to run for a period of three years with an option at the sole discretion of the Council to extend for a further period of up to two years subject to funding availability, satisfactory service monitoring and confirmation that the service remains in line with Council priorities.

The contract has as its object services listed in Annex II B to the Directive.
