The technical/MEP requirement of the facility is complex, will comprise various specialist laboratories together with support, ancillary and plant spaces and has an approximate floor area of 7,500m2 across three floors (including a basement), plus a separate plant deck. It will be a stand alone building, situated on an operational research campus in close proximity to other similarly facilities. The construction company will complete the design from RIBA Stage F1.
