The existing contract is being extended for a further year under the existing terms and conditions. The existing contract is a call off contract against the Thames Valley Police framework agreement which is due to expire on the 31.3.13. The extension is necessary to allow transfer of contract award responsibilities from Cumbria Police Authority to The Police & Crime Commissioner for Cumbria, and to allow sufficent time for a replacement exercise under the new awarding body.
