Air-traffic control services. The provision of manned patrols for the control of birds in the vicinity of airfields at RAF Leeming, RAF Topcliffe, RAF Dishforth Airfield, RAF Linton On Ouse and RAF Church Fenton. The contractor shall provide an effective and efficient bird control system in accordance with the Manual of Air Traffic Management (MATM), Manual of Airfield Design and Safeguarding (MADS), RAF ATM Force Orders and Technical Bulletin 97/34 to reduce the presence of birds in and around the vicinity of the airfields as specified. Where bird control activity is necessary outside the boundaries of the establishment, the Contractor shall effect liaison directly with occupiers of adjoining land, Bird Control Units (BCUs) at neighbouring stations and other persons and organisations as necessary. The service is to be operated so as to be effective during airfield operating hours.
