The construction of the new HEBS 2 building incorporating the National Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine will provide an innovative environment that will be a very significant addition to the campus. The completed facility will provide an exemplar for excellence and accommodate.
Clinical and Physiological diagnostic equipment including imaging, Research Facilities, Educational and training facilities for health professionals and patients, Gym facilities suitable for rehabilitation of athletes, sportspeople and disabled patients with chronic disease.
The total internal floor area is anticipated to be no less than 5 000 m2 and the value of the build is around 12M GBP (net of VAT).
The contractor will be appointed under a standard form of design and build contract. The designs at award of contract will be 90 % complete.
The scope of works will also include for the construction of an external access road and car park.
