The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is seeking to award a contract or contracts for the organisation and management of Tenancy Deposit Protection (Insurance Schemes) for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for a further period of up to 2 years.
The current schemes which are service concession agreements have been in place since 2007 (and as such are financially self sufficient and receive no monetary. The purpose of the schemes are to provide assurance that should the landlords or agents default on repayment of deposits to their tenants (where repayment is legitimately required), the scheme will repay the appropriate proportion of the deposit.
