Invitations are invited for tenders to supply a Broadband Acoustic System to Marine Scotland Science (MSS), Marine Laboratory, Aberdeen. It is expected that the system components will be mounted in a towed body housing. Acoustic system will consist of wide band transmitters operating over a range of 0.5 kHz - 120 kHz and linear receiver arrays. In addition, sensors to monitor tow body depth, attitude and location will also be incorporated in the tow body. Power and communication with the tow body will be by means of a steel wired armoured co-axial cable.

VI.4.2)Lodging of appeals
Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: Marine Scotland will incorporate a minimum of 10 calender day standstill period at the point of information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek full debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. Applicants have 2 working days from the notification of award decision to request additional debriefing and that information has to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be required from the contact point of Marine Scotland, details specified in point I.1 of this advert. If an appeal regarding the award of the contract has not been successfully resolved The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations (SSI 2012 No 88) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rule to take action in the Sheriff Court or Court of Session. Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months). Where a contract has not been entered into the Court may order the setting aside of the award decision or order the authority to amend any document and may award damages. If the contract has been entered into the Court may only award damages.
