The project includes five main areas of construction work,
a. The demolition of 2no existing buildings that are surplus to requirements.
b. The construction of a new sea defence wall to protect the site against flooding.
c. The refurbishment of 3no existing Grade ‘B’ listed buildings to provide community activity rooms, a marriage suite, cafe, gallery and office accommodation.
d. The construction of a new two storey steel frame extension to provide a contact centre and the majority of the office space and support accommodation.
e. The formation of landscape grounds, associated car parking and access roads on the main development site and proposed overspill car park.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The Council will issue to all tenderers by electronic means a formal Award Decision Notification. The notification will give reasons for the award decision and the earliest date that the contract will be concluded, which date shall be not less than ten days from the date of issue of the notification. If proceedings are served on the Council in relation to a contract that has not been entered into, the procurement process will be automatically suspended. The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2012 provide for aggrieved parties to take action in the Sheriff Court or Court of Session.
