Dumfries & Galloway Council are looking to appoint a contractor to maintain and repair the regions traffic signal equipment.
The equipment covered by this contract will include the following:-.
- All traffic signal equipment except equipment associated with cables and ducting external to the controller,
- All optical equipment including signal head casings,
- All above ground detection equipment, including MVDs, PIRs and Traficam detectors,
- SCOOT/UTC/Selective Vehicle Detection(SVD) equipment,
- all remote monitoring telemetry equipment.
Tenderers should be aware that under the provision of this contract, response times for all faults except the Presence, SCOOT and Tiris loops are:
- within 4 hours,
- Full repair within 12 hours. (i.e faults reported before 4pm will be repaired by the end of the next working day).
The contract will commence on 1 March 2013 and run for three years initially, with the option to extend for an additional year.
