II.1.4)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)Clackmannanshire Council (CC) is looking to appoint an experienced Contractor for a four year framework agreement to carry out the replacement of approximately 2 000-3 000 bathrooms in council houses in various towns within Clackmannanshire (on current levels approx. 15 % are only partial replacements). The Contractor is to assume the houses will be occupied.
The full extent of the works can be summarised as follows:
Visit to tenant's house to measure existing bathroom.
Design of bathroom in consultation with tenant with provision for tenant choice on tiles, flooring etc and in accordance with the Council's Design Guidelines.
Removal of existing bathroom.
Install new bathroom.
Structural alterations if required.
Electrical Rewiring in affected areas. (i.e. Installation of shower).
Alterations to water & drainage pipework.
Full redecoration, wall finishes and flooring.
Provision of all certificates on completion of the works.
Please note that the sanitary ware, showers and valves will be supplied under a separate contract.

Delivery of this contract will include a community benefits agreement between the Supplier and Clackmannanshire Council.
The Supplier are also required to submit a CIS Tax Certificate or Registration Card, if not previously submitted for approval.

Unsuccessful candidates may request a summary of reasons as to why their bid was unsuccessful. Such information can be obtained from the address specified in the contract notice. The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (SSI 2006/1) (as amended) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rule to take action in the Sheriff Court or Court of Session. Any such action must be brought to the attention of the public authority prior to its commencement and within 3 months of the breach complained of.
