NIE - Lines Delivery, Customer Operations and the Fault and Emergency departments have a requirement throughout Northern Ireland for the provision of Plant Hire Contractors to assist with:
1. Hire of Large Plant - Track machines and rubber wheel diggers equipped with
Pole erectors to assist with the erection /replacement of electricity poles,
Installation of stay rods and installation of substation earthing.
Transportation of NIE own plant
2. Unaccompanied rigging and erecting of new electricity poles, installation of
stay rods and installation of transformer earthing.
3. Adhoc works - mini digging, earth testing repairs and installation.
The rigging and erecting/replacement of poles and the installation of stay rods and substation earthing is carried out on all voltages levels up to and including 400Kv and will include refurbishment, new connections work, diversions and alterations to the network, line raising, dangerous clearances and fault & emergency work.
