Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: (1) Insurance carriers should be authorised to write the classes of business required in accordance with all relevant legislation.
(2) Insurance carriers must be able to produce on request a certificate iassued by the appropriate regulatory authority indicating the types of insurance they are authorised to provide.
(3) Insurance carriers must comply with relevant Department of Trade and Industry regulations.
III.2.2)Economic and financial ability
Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: Insurance carriers must be authorised to conduct business in the classes of insurance required in accordance with the provisions of the Insurance Companies Act 1982 and any statutory modifications thereof.
Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required: A minimum credit rating of BBB (S&P;); or A- (AM Best) must be achieved along with an unemcumbered policyholder surplus of at least 50 000 000 USD.
