Roadworks. Construction, foundation and surface works for highways, roads. Road construction works. Road bridge construction work. Construction work for highways, roads. This contract is known as A2 Shore Road Greenisland (ref. c/14/2012). This is a design and build contract. The works are to provide a part on-line/part off-line hybrid improvement of the A2 Shore Road from single carriageway to Dual 2-lane carriageway (D2AP) from a point approximately 250 metres north of the junction with Jordanstown Road northwards for distance of 3.5 km to a point approximately 150 metres north of the junction with the access road to Seapark House on the A2 Shore Road, between Belfast and Carrickfergus. The method proposed for the delivery of this project is design and build. The contract will be based on the NEC3 engineering and construction contract, using option A, priced contract with activity schedule.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
