Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invite tenders from suitably licensed and experienced contractors for the collection, treatment, processing and onward recycling to market of Mixed Dry Recyclable materials.
The contract material is generated through the Council's Recycling bin collection service which includes all domestic and commercial customers who receive this service within the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Area.

The contract will be for a period of 1 year with the option to extend for 2 additional 12 month periods at the sole discretion of the Council.

Description of particular conditions: The contractor must comply with all applicable Waste Management Legislation for the entire duration of the contract. Particular attention is drawn to, not least, The Pollution Control and Local Government Order 1978, The Council Directive 1999/31/EC on the Landfill of Wastes, The Transfrontier Shipment of Waste Regulations, The Waste Management Licensing Regulations 1994, The Waste and Contaminated Land Order (NI) 2003, The Controlled Waste (Duty of Care) Regulations 2002, and The Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations (NI) 2003, and the Registration of Carriers (seizure of vehicles) Legislation.
