This is a Prior Information Notice to inform potential bidders that the BSO Procurement and Logistics Service intend to issue tender documentation for a HLA specific antibody testing system. The Regional Tissue Typing Laboratory Belfast Health and Social Care Trust performs HLA specific antibody detection/screening and identification work required for all renal transplant patients, a limited amount of testing for other solid organ transplants and also for patients demonstrating platelets refractoriness who will require HLA matched blood products.
 The regional tissue typing laboratory is wishing to procure a HLA specific antibody testing system i.e. platform(s), all essential reagents and consumables and the necessary interpretive software to perform HLA specific antibody detection and identification. The following HLA specific antibodies must be able to be detected and characterised as part of the screening and identification process.

 The regional tissue typing laboratory will perform screening on all required samples followed by high definition HLA specific antibody testing on selected samples identified by the initial screening process.
 Procurement and Logistics Service wish to hold an awareness/information session to enable potential suppliers and customers to engage in relation to the specification.
 Suppliers will NOT be required to demonstrate equipment; however can use a presentation to inform the Trust of solutions which are available to meet requirements. Suppliers will have an opportunity to seek clarification and further information from the main users within the Trust.

In order to participate, Suppliers must register their interest by 15:00 on 9.11.2016 by emailing . Sessions will take place on Wednesday 16.11.2016. Suppliers will be informed of time and location of session after registration of interest. Note this session is not considered part of the tender bid, and suppliers will have to complete a tender submission as part of the tender process when the tender is published.

After the tender is published all documentation will be made available via the https://www.etendersni.gov.uk website and potential bidders should register on this website to ensure they have access to tender documentation.
