Blackpool Council wishes to enter into exploratory dialogue and scoping discussions with organisations that have the capability and experience in delivering Bus/Tram Shelter advertising. The main purpose of this notice is to help the Council to scope requirements, understand market capability and assess levels of interest.
Blackpool Council intends to invite a limited number of qualified organisations with appropriate experience to meet officers and discuss the methods, details and possible specification options of the service.
Blackpool Council will have 190 advertising panels available on bus shelters on main routes in Blackpool several of which are in prime tourist locations, along with 250 advertising panels on our brand new tramway which runs the full length of Blackpool Promenade through Cleveleys to Fleetwood. Whilst we would like to retain a small number of the panels for local advertising it is proposed that national advertising could take up the bulk of the space available.
The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to email (preferred option) or write to the Authority to express an interest to participate in this dialogue. Applications to participate should be received no later than 25.7.2011.
Participation (or non-participation) will confer no advantage or disadvantage should the Authority commence a formal procurement process at some future date.
