Powys County Council are inviting applications from suitably qualified contractors for a Framework Agreement to carry out improvement works to Council domestic properties to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard. The total value of the works over 3 years will be in the region of 17 100 000 GBP. Contractors are required to be Constructionline registered (in relevant categories of work) and CHAS compliant (or equivalent) by the deadline for receipt of tenders. Contractors must also be suitably qualified for any works for which they are tendering including any statutory requirements.
Under this procurement contractors are required to participate actively in the economic and social regeneration of the locality and surrounding area where the works are delivered. Accordingly award criteria may relate in particular to economic and social considerations. Examples may include apprenticeships, training, and community projects.
The Framework may also be used by other service areas in the Council, and the Powys Teaching Health Board.
