This is a contract award notice only.
The BCU Health Board is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to provide a Liquid Chromatography Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer System (LCMS) and a Gas Chromatography Analysis with Headspace Injector System (GC). Contractors can sumbit bids for one or both of these systems. We reserve the right to award to one or more suppliers based on the most economically advantageous offer.
The LCMS System must be able to allow analysis of samples for toxicology/drugs-of-abuse screening and quantitive analysis in a variety of sample types (urine, whole blood etc) taken from both living and deceased patients. The system must also allow analysis of samples for immunosuppressant (Cyclosporin A, Tacrolimus and Sirolimus) quantification and should also allow analysis of samples for steroid (eg female testosterone, androstenedione, DHEAS, 17-hydroxy progesterone) quantification.
The GC system must allow analysis of samples for Ethanol, Methanol and Acetone screening and quantative analysis in a variety of sample types (urine, whole blood etc) taken from both living and deceased patients; samples for Ethylene Glycol screening and quantitive analysis in a variety of sample types (urine, whole blood etc) taken from both living and deceased patients and samples for other volatile solvents screening in a variety of sample types (urine, whole blood etc) taken from both living and deceased patients.
This contract will include the supply of all reagents; consumables and maintenance. Any costs not submitted will deem to be borne by the supplier.
Tenders will be awarded based on the most economically advantageous tender as per the criteria set out within the tender document ans scoring methodology.
