Training 2000 Ltd have received funding from the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, part of Lancashire County Council and have been awarded funds based on an submission in early January 2015 for the development of an Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC). This project aims to strengthen and develop higher level apprenticeships with the delivery of advanced apprenticeship frameworks and also to aid the development of the workforce in Lancashire. The local supply chain will benefit from the creation of this centre, in particular SMEs who do not have the facilities or funding to purchase or train on advanced equipment which Training 2000 will be able to offer to free up capacity, provide training and develop skills. This centre will be based on site at Training 2000's Blackburn based head office at Furthergate Industrial Park.
ICT Equipment:
Specifically this tender is aimed at purchasing ICT equipment including: high end specification PCs, 70” touch screen displays and interactive monitors the AMC to provide space for students and workers to design CAD modules for use on the advanced machinery. Timelines:
The timeframes within this tender are critical and must be adhered to as they affect funding and delivery when scrutinised by the Growth Deal. It is therefore essential, that by entering to this tender, at any stage, the supplier realises that they are agreeing to keep to the strict timeframes and work towards a successful completion date of mid March 2016 otherwise Training 2000 will not be able to award the contract.
