This is an exciting opportunity for a small or medium sized business specialising in refurbishment work. We're particularly interested in working with companies who'd normally work as the subcontractor doing kitchen and bathroom replacements.
Companies with a turnover between 3000 000 GBP and 10 000 000GBP based in the Croydon and surrounding areas would be ideally suited to this contract. However this does not preclude others from bidding.
We estimate the value of this contract will be GBP 1 400 000 a year for 5 years with the option to extend a further 5 years.
You'll have experience of doing the following work:
- Removing old kitchens and bathrooms,
- Installing new kitchens and bathrooms,
- Plumbing and electrical works for the new kitchens and bathrooms,
- Tiling and decoration,
- Removing old flooring and putting in new flooring.
AmicusHorizon will buy the kitchen materials direct from the manufacturer. And we'll make sure they're delivered to the property you're working at.
AmicusHorizon staff will work directly with our residents as the liaison officer (RLO) for this contract. So you don't need to worry about employing someone in your company to do this.
You'll have:
- done kitchen and bathroom replacements for a Council or Housing Association as a subcontractor or directly within the last year,
- a current Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) qualification before 1.4.2016. SSIP is the name for a number of health and safety qualifications, here are some examples CHAS, Exor and Acclaim Accreditation,
- all your staff working on site trained on asbestos awareness. And the course will have complied with Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012,
- public Liability insurance of 2 000 000 GBP,
- employers Liability insurance of 10 000 000 GBP.

Once the ‘works’ are completed at each home and agreed by AmicusHorizon the Contractor will be able to invoice.
AmicusHorizon will pay your invoices within 30 days of receipt via BACS.
If there is a performance or quality issue with the ‘works’ or the invoice isn't correct we'll withhold payment until it's corrected.
