The scope of the contract will cover the refurbishment of Bathrooms and Kitchens in domestic properties owned by the Customer. It will focus primarily on the delivery of the Customers bathroom refurbishment programme but will also provide for the refurbishment of Kitchens as required.
Quantities are expected to be in the region of 500 Kitchens/ WC/Bathrooms refurbishments per year for four year contract period. Work will be carried out in occupied and vacant properties.
The Contractor must be able to undertake all elements of the installation work including electrical and gas connections.
Tenderers will be asked to submit proposals for cost reductions and savings during the contact period, together with innovative proposals for incentivising performance.
The Form of contract is expected to be JCT intermediate 2011 with Contractors Design.
It is expected that rates will be tendered on the basis of Supply and fix per property together with a schedule of rates for Extra Over additional elements of work.
Tenderers should note that under a procurement agreement held by Taunton Deane Borough Council with Advantage South West, key components must be purchased direct from Contractors nominated by ASW at prices already agreed. Details of this agreement will be made available in the ITT document.
Further detailed information on the location of properties and the refurbishment program will be contained in the ITT Document which will be provided to shortlisted tenderers with in the ITT documents.
Please note that in the event of re-structuring with in local government that this procurement will pass to successor authorities.
