Air quality management. The Greater Manchester districts are forming a network of stations to share information, and resources between the 10 district authorities of Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, and Wigan. The network is referred to as Greater Manchester Air quality Network (GMAQN), GMAQN are seeking to appoint a contractor(s) (ESU - equipment support unit) to provide a flexible, responsive and consistently high quality service in relation to the servicing and maintenance of their automatic air quality monitoring units and other services if necessary.
The Greater Manchester Air Quality Network (GMAQN) operates air quality stations monitoring local air quality for the benefit of the public and to provide information to organisations and government. The requirements are for data management to a standard comparable with the national UK Automatic and Urban and Rural Network (AURN).

The contract will be open to other authorities within the North west to utilise if they wish to do so. This includes Blackpool Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council, Cheshire East Council and Cheshire West Council, Lancashire County Council, Warrington Borough Council.
We require a single provider for each lot although one provider for both lots will be considered.

Documents are available via the north west portal: www.the-chest.org.uk and must be completed and returned via this portal by the date and time specified.

The framework is initially for a two year period option to extend for a further two years commencing on 1.9.2013-31.8.2015 plus an additional two to 31.8.2017.
This framework agreement applies to all AGMA authority as per the list identified in Annex A in the original contract notice.
