The Met office is seeking to set up training packages in a short period format to be delivered to approximately 20-30 students per annum over two years, plus packages to keep each yearly intake's currency of knowledge for a period of up to 4 years after their initial training.
These training packages must deliver trained staff ready for immediate operational deployment. Packages to maintain currency of knowledge form part of each lot and tenders should recommend the most cost effective delivery route with minimum business interruption to working patterns.
