The project will involve the planning and programming and return of all of the dispersed holdings of the Central Library comprising the collections of books, rare books, documents and other materials, equipment and other materials held by the City's Libraries and Archives Service, to their new accommodations in the redeveloped Liverpool Central Library and Archive (LCLA) within a prescribed timescale of 12 weeks.
The contents, currently held in five separate locations, will be returned to their precisely designated sites within LCLA from their remote sites. The contractor will also clear two of the temporary sites of furniture and shelving.
Contract start date is the 26.11.2012 which maybe subject to change.
Due to a percentage of high value items, the council reserves its right to request bidders to put in place such levels of insurance that will release the authority of all risks and liabilities in the delivery of this contract.
