Provision of Psychological Screening for Trauma and Mental Health.
Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Constabulary and Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service (the Authorities), intend to put in place a contract arrangement for the provision of Occupational Health (OH) Services, to provide additional specialist support to officers and staff who are experiencing work related or work affecting mental health /trauma related issues; to facilitate recovery, by giving access to clinical psychological services, assessments and therapies. In addition it is planned that this service will provide advice to management and assist the internal OH clinical team in delivering appropriate OH care. There is also a requirement to provide assistance in the development of psychological programmes and initiatives as required including trauma support programmes. An Employee Assistance Programme is currently in place the organisations, and this will continue to offer self-referred confidential counselling running alongside the psychological services contract.

The Authorities would like to understand how experienced suppliers in the marketplace feel these requirements might best be met, and is therefore carrying out a soft market testing exercise to engage in early informal dialogue prior to any formal procurement taking place. The Authorities are open to discussion on all potential models of service delivery as well as a discussion of different client and contract management models.
